Our asset management model is not designed to work only for a single department or utility. You can create as many as 10 departments or utilities to manage your assets for multiple departments or utility systems under a single platform. For example, if your agency owns and manages two utility systems (say water and wastewater) you can manage assets of both utility systems under a single model if you like. You can create even a third department for joint assets shared by both utilities such as administrative buildings, office equipment, vehicles, etc.
Models By Toggles’ asset management model allows you to create “group” tags and use these group tags to assign your assets specific groups. This feature allows you to monitor your assets as a group whether it is designated as a sub-system or a sub-service area of your asset system.
You can use four priority assessment categorizations in terms of criticality, condition, redundancy, and capacity usage; all color coded. By assigning your assets into the priority categories you selected to use, you could visually and analytically review problem areas/assets, their relative importance in your system, prioritize your repair and replacement program, generate preventive maintenance program for your most critical and important assets, assess funding needs, develop your capital improvement program and operating and maintenance budget.
Historical inflation statistics are an important aspect of any asset management system, because they are used to calculate assets’ historical values as well as their replacement costs in current dollars. It is needless to say that these historical data do not change from model to model, or utility system to utility system. To eliminate redundancy and repeated data input / update / control efforts and provide a single, centralized data input area that could be shared by multiple models, we provided (placed) the definition and data input area under Models By Toggles account settings.
You can create general, routine tasks as well as specific, asset-related tasks, assign these tasks to specific team members (users), request email reminders, and add these tasks to team members’ calendars
Each user assigned to your Asset Management Model can see his/her assigned tasks in your asset management model’s calendar view. Projected asset replacements based on assets’ useful lives are also shown in the Calendar view.
You can enter GIS data for your assets by (a) directly entering geographic coordinates (latitudes and longitudes), (b) uploading shape data files directly from your existing GIS application, or (c) using location info of your mobile device while you are at asset location. You can visually see all or filtered subset of your assets on maps, query assets within a certain radius of a location or on a specific route. Using these features, your field staff will be able to create tasks and work orders for certain assets in their route and at proximity of a specific location.
Using our graphic analysis dashboard you can apply multiple filters, convert your asset data into visual information, and evaluate them based on your chosen metrics. You can graphically evaluate all or a selected subset of your assets in terms of their condition, importance in your system and service delivery, redundancy, capacity usage, their replacement value, maintenance costs, and other evaluation criteria of your choosing. You can do all this by your assets’ functional category, type, group, or even by year for the period you select.
